Lowest Cost nobody except Dream Home Funding wants to compete on cost.  Listen to our competitors advertisements, and what do you hear?  Claims of better service, "competitive rates," new facilities, blah, blah, blah.  "Competitive rates" means the same lousy rates all the other mortgage companies are offering.  "Better service"  I guess they figure you'll feel better about paying 10's of thousands more for your home than you had to if they are extra nice to you.  For more information on how mortgages are priced click here.

The reality is if you are organized and supply the documentation we need in a timely manner, you could talk to your loan officer just once during the entire mortgage process.  Dream Home Funding has been in business since 1998, and most of our business comes from referrals.  Obviously if we offered lousy service we wouldn't still be in business. 

Not only that, but a good loan officer earns his keep not during his/her interactions with you, but by taking care of problems and shielding you from the rampant stupidity in the industry, so he/she doesn't need to talk to you at all.  We fight hard to get rid of ridiculous and burdensome documentation requests that most loan officers aren't knowledgeable enough to prove aren't required and/or are too lazy to fight.  For many it's easier to just relay whatever ridiculous request the Underwriter makes, than to spend the time getting it waived.  After all it isn't them that has to spend hours or days trying to track down that business tax return from 3 years ago for a business you only own 5% of (and yes, I've seen an Underwriter ask for that).  Good luck getting that, but I'm sure your bank Loan Officer will be very polite when he/she explains 5 times that they can't close your loan without it.  We aren't even going to ask you for something so dumb.  We are going to ask the Underwriter to waive it, and when they don't, we are  going straight over their head until we find somebody who will.

Better Service our competitor's ads crack me up, who are they kidding with their claims of better service?  I guess they're really nice to you as long as you can catch them during regular business hours M-F, unless it's a holiday, and don't mind driving to their office during your workday multiple times.  Dream Home Funding is open 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. EVERYDAY!  Unless you need something outside those hours, in which case we will happily accomodate you with some advance notice.  The website is available 24/7/365.  Your loan officer answers the phone when you call, not a receptionist or somebody else who can't help you.  If you call and get voicemail, leave a message and your call will be promptly returned as soon as we get the message. 

Are you too busy to drive to your lender's office, or maybe just don't want to waste the gas and time?  With the technology available on our website you never have to come to our office.  You can apply online, electronically sign your loan application and disclosures, and fax or email us all the supporting documentation we need any time of the day or night.  How is that for service?
